Why we built it

Buying a used vehicle is one of the biggest purchases most people make, and the important facts (whether it's been written off, has finance owing, or has had its mileage wound back) are hard to see from the outside. We wanted a check that's quick, clear and fairly priced, without accounts, subscriptions or jargon.

Where our data comes from

MOT history and mileage come from the DVSA's official records. Tax status and the full history check come from official and industry sources, including police, insurance and finance registers, through our licensed vehicle-data supplier. We're not affiliated with the DVLA or DVSA.
